Her mother, Simla Akter, works as a housemaid to support the entire family alone after losing contact with Alisha’s father, making it impossible to manage costly medical expenses. When Alisha developed severe swelling and infection in her neck and mouth, along with high fever, difficulty swallowing, and severe pain, her family became deeply worried as her condition rapidly worsened day by day. Doctors diagnosed her with Ludwig’s Angina, a dangerous infection that can spread quickly and cause serious breathing problems if not treated urgently. Without proper treatment, the infection could become life-threatening, but the family found hope after learning about Helpster Charity through a community outreach program at Geneva Camp.

Alisha Akter was admitted to the hospital on 05-05-2026 with painful neck swelling, fever, difficulty swallowing, and reduced mouth opening due to Ludwig’s Angina. After admission, she was immediately started on antibiotics, supportive care, and underwent a necessary surgical procedure to control the infection and reduce the swelling. During her hospital stay, she was closely monitored by the medical team, and her condition gradually improved with reduction of pain, fever, and neck swelling. She also became able to eat and move her mouth more comfortably as the infection came under control.
