Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Tawhida Jannath is a calm and innocent four-month-old baby girl who lives with her parents in a small tin-made house under difficult financial conditions. Her father, Jahangir Alom, works as an auto driver and earns around 7,500 BDT per month, which is barely enough to manage the family’s daily living expenses. When Tawhida developed fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and excessive crying, her worried parents rushed her to Seba Hospital after her condition became more serious day by day. Doctors diagnosed her with severe pneumonia and admitted her for urgent treatment and close monitoring under medical supervision. Without proper treatment, the infection could seriously affect her breathing and become life-threatening, but the family is struggling to continue the medical expenses and came to know about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema.

Medical history

Tawhida Janat was admitted to Seba Hospital on 05 May 2026 with a diagnosis of severe pneumonia. She received treatment under the care for 7 days. During her hospitalization, she was provided with all necessary supportive treatment and was closely monitored by doctors and nurses. She was discharged on 12 May 2026 with medical advice. At the time of discharge, the patient’s family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Ema and the Seba Hospital team.

Prognosis

Tawheda Jannat is expected to gradually recover with proper hospitalization, regular medication, supportive care, and continuous monitoring. The treatment is helping improve her breathing and preventing the infection from becoming more severe. Severe pneumonia can rapidly become life-threatening without timely medical intervention. If left untreated, her condition could lead to severe breathing failure, extreme weakness, and other serious complications that may threaten her survival. Early medical management has significantly improved her chances of recovery and healthy growth.
