Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Mariom Akter has been diagnosed with typhoid fever, a serious bacterial infection that spreads through contaminated food and water. The illness commonly causes prolonged high fever, severe body aches, weakness, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. If not treated properly, typhoid can lead to dangerous complications such as intestinal bleeding or infection spreading throughout the body. With timely medical care and appropriate antibiotics, most patients recover fully and regain their normal strength and health.

Background
Mariom Akter is a cheerful and determined 9-year-old girl who loves spending time with her brothers and dreams of continuing her education to build a better future. She lives with her father, two brothers, and elderly grandmother in a six-member family, where her father is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 8,000, making it impossible to afford the cost of her medical treatment while meeting the family's daily needs. She has been diagnosed with typhoid fever, and without timely treatment, the infection could spread throughout her body, causing severe dehydration, intestinal perforation, bloodstream infection (sepsis), multiple organ failure, and other potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Abdur Rahman, giving them hope when they had no other way to pay for her treatment. With timely medical care, Mariom has the opportunity to recover fully, return to school, and continue pursuing her dreams.
