Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Mashraful Islam Refat has been diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis, urinary tract infection (UTI), and mild dehydration. He had been suffering from severe diarrhea, repeated vomiting, stomach pain, and fever for several days, which gradually made him weak and physically exhausted. Due to continuous fluid loss, signs of mild dehydration developed, causing concern for his family. As his condition worsened, he was admitted to Seba Hospital, where he is currently receiving fluids, medicines, and close medical care for recovery.

Background
Masraful Islam Rifat is a calm, gentle, and innocent 7-year-old boy who lives with his poor family in a small tin-made house under very difficult financial conditions. His father, Aros Ali, works as a woodcutter and earns only around 4,000 BDT per month, which is not enough to support the six-member family, including Rifat’s mother Sabina Akhter, his younger brother Arafat Ahmed, and his grandmother Nurun Begum. When Rifat became seriously ill with severe diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and stomach pain, his condition quickly worsened, leaving him weak and dehydrated, which forced the family to admit him to Seba Hospital for urgent treatment. Doctors diagnosed him with a stomach infection, urine infection, and dehydration, and he is now receiving medicines, fluids, and close monitoring for recovery. Without proper treatment, his dehydration and infections could become severe and life-threatening, but the family is struggling to continue the treatment costs and learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema.
Medical history
Mashraful Islam Rifat was admitted to Seba Hospital on 05 May 2026 with loose motion, stomach pain, vomiting, fever, and mild dehydration. He received treatment under the care of a doctor for 5 days. During his hospitalization, he was provided with necessary medicines, supportive care, and was regularly monitored by doctors and nurses. He was discharged on 10 May 2026 with medical advice. At the time of discharge, the patient’s family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Ema and the Seba Hospital team.
Prognosis
With proper hospital care, medicines, fluids, and regular monitoring, Mashraful Islam Refat will gradually recover and return to a healthy and active life. The treatment will help stop his diarrhea and vomiting, reduce his fever, and restore the fluids and strength his body has lost during the illness. With timely care, he is expected to regain his energy and continue his normal childhood without long-term problems. However, if he does not receive proper treatment, his condition could quickly become very dangerous. Continuous diarrhea, vomiting, and fever could cause severe weakness and dehydration, which may seriously threaten his life and lead to further complications.
