Nusrat Akter is a sweet and cheerful 3-year-old girl who brings joy to her parents despite the hardships their family faces. She lives with her parents and five siblings in a fragile section of her uncle's house, where her father works as a farmer with a very limited income that is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities, making it impossible to afford her medical treatment. She has been diagnosed with chickenpox and a severe throat infection, and without timely treatment, the infection could spread, causing severe dehydration, difficulty breathing and swallowing, pneumonia, bloodstream infection, and other potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Md. Mizanur Rahman, whose guidance gave them hope when they had no way to pay for her treatment. With timely medical care, Nusrat has the opportunity to recover fully, grow up healthy, and enjoy the happy childhood every child deserves.

Nusrat Akter, a 3-year-old female child, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 08.06.2026 through Helpster volunteer Abu Sayeed with complaints of high-grade fever for 07 days, severe sore throat with painful swallowing for 07 days, and generalized vesicular skin rash for the last 01–02 days. On admission, the patient was evaluated clinically and diagnosed as a case of Varicella (Chickenpox) with Chronic Pharyngotonsillitis. Necessary investigations were done and she was started on appropriate management including intravenous fluid therapy and rehydration, antibiotic treatment for fever, symptomatic management of rash and sore throat, nutritional support, and close monitoring with regular follow-up. The child remained hospitalized for 03 days and showed gradual clinical improvement. She was discharged on 11.06.2026 in a stable condition with advice for continued care and follow-up. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

Doctors have advised prompt treatment with appropriate antiviral medication, antibiotics for the chronic throat infection if indicated, fever control, adequate hydration, nutritional support, and close clinical monitoring to ensure complete recovery. With timely treatment and proper follow-up, Nusrat has an excellent chance of full recovery, with resolution of the skin rash, fever, and throat infection without long-term complications. However, if treatment is delayed or not received, the infection may progress to severe dehydration, secondary bacterial infection, pneumonia, or other serious complications, which can become life-threatening and may even result in death.
