Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology
Ariyan Ahmed Reham has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia along with febrile convulsion, which means he is suffering from a serious lung infection accompanied by seizures caused by high fever. Due to the infection in both lungs, he developed cough, breathing difficulty, low oxygen levels, and extreme weakness, making it hard for his small body to breathe properly. The high fever also triggered convulsions, which frightened the family and showed that his condition had become critical. As he is only 5 months old, immediate medical treatment, oxygen support, and close monitoring are very important to save his life and prevent further complications.
Thank you for saving this life!

Background
Ariyan Ahmed Rihan is a calm and gentle 5-month-old baby boy whose innocent smile brings happiness to his struggling family. His father, Kajol Ahmed, works as a day labourer and earns only around 4,000 BDT per month, which is not enough to support six family members, including Ariyan’s two young siblings and elderly grandmother, making the cost of hospital treatment impossible for the family to manage. When Ariyan developed high fever, severe cough, breathing difficulty, and excessive crying, his mother, Popi Begum, became terrified as his condition rapidly worsened and he even suffered a fever-related seizure. His elder sister Riya and brother Riyaj stayed close to their baby brother while the entire family prayed for his recovery in deep fear and helplessness. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, and without urgent treatment, Ariyan’s severe pneumonia and low oxygen level could become life-threatening and may lead to permanent complications or even death.
Medical history
Ariyan Ahmed was admitted to Seba Hospital on 09 May 2026 with fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and severe pneumonia with febrile convulsion. He received treatment and he kept under close observation in the hospital. During his hospitalization, he was provided with oxygen support, medicines, nebulization, fluids, and supportive treatment by the doctors and nurses. Although his condition showed some improvement, he continued to have episodes of convulsion, so he was referred to SOMCH in the PICU for better treatment and advanced care. At the time of referral, the patient’s family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Ema and the Seba Hospital team.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, Ariyan Ahmed Reham requires immediate hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, continuous oxygen support, and other supportive treatment to control the severe lung infection and improve his breathing. If his condition does not improve, admission to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) may be necessary for advanced monitoring and life-saving care. With proper and timely treatment, Ariyan is expected to recover gradually and return to a healthy childhood. However, if left untreated, his severe pneumonia may rapidly worsen, causing dangerously low oxygen levels, repeated seizures, respiratory failure, brain damage, or other life-threatening complications that could put his young life at serious risk.
