Eti Rani is a caring and devoted 28-year-old mother who spends her days looking after her family and dreams of having a safe delivery for her third child. She lives with her husband, a day laborer earning only around BDT 5,000 per month, and their two young daughters, relying on a very limited income to meet all household needs. The family's financial situation is extremely difficult, making it impossible for them to afford the medical care required during her pregnancy. Recently, Eti developed abdominal pain and watery discharge, and doctors found that her baby is lying in a transverse position, which is not safe for a normal delivery. Without timely medical treatment and close monitoring, both Eti and her unborn baby could face serious complications during childbirth, putting their lives at risk.

The patient,Eti Rani was admitted to City Clinic on 18th June 2026. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 2.5 kg male baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 23th June 2026 with proper postnatal advice. The doctor has advised a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest option to ensure a controlled and secure delivery for both Eti and her baby. With timely surgery, the risks related to the transeverse lie position and low amniotic fluid can be carefully managed, greatly reducing the chances of birth complications and protecting the lives of both mother and child. A planned LUCS will help prevent prolonged labor, fetal distress, and possible injury during delivery. However, if proper treatment is not provided, there is a serious risk of obstructed labor, severe bleeding, or distress to the baby, which could become life-threatening. Early surgical intervention offers the best chance for a safe outcome and a healthy recovery for both mother and newborn.
