Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology

Israt Jahan, a 3-year-5-month-old child, has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia, a serious lung infection that makes breathing difficult and can quickly become life-threatening if not treated promptly. She developed fever, cough, runny nose, and increasing breathing difficulties, which gradually worsened and affected her overall health. The infection caused significant inflammation in her lungs, leaving her weak and requiring urgent hospitalization and medical care.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Israt Jahan is a polite and cheerful 3½-year-old girl who brings joy to her parents despite their difficult living conditions. She lives with her father, Mohammad Ibrahim, a garment worker earning only 7,000 BDT per month, and her mother, Lipa Akter, whose limited income makes it impossible for the family to afford costly hospital treatment. When Israt developed fever, cough, and breathing difficulties, doctors diagnosed her with severe pneumonia, a serious lung infection that required urgent hospitalization. Without timely treatment, her breathing problems could have worsened rapidly, leading to dangerously low oxygen levels and potentially life-threatening complications. After learning about Helpster Charity through Volunteer Masud Rana, the family found hope that Israt could receive the medical care needed to recover and enjoy a healthy childhood.

Medical history

Israt Jahan was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital on 12-05-2026 with symptoms of severe pneumonia, including fever, cough, and respiratory distress. After admission, she received conservative treatment, including necessary medications and supportive care under close medical supervision. During hospitalization, her condition was carefully monitored for breathing difficulty, infection severity, and overall stability. Gradually, with treatment, her condition improved. She was finally discharged on 17-05-2026 after showing clinical improvement and stabilization of her symptoms.

Prognosis

Doctors expect Israt's condition to improve significantly with hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive treatment. The treatment will help clear the lung infection, improve her breathing, reduce fever and cough, and restore her strength so she can return to her normal childhood activities. With proper medical care and close monitoring, she has a good chance of making a full recovery. If left untreated, the infection could spread further in her lungs, causing severe breathing difficulties, low oxygen levels, and other life-threatening complications. Therefore, timely treatment is essential to protect her life and ensure a safe recovery.
