Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Sepsis, or blood poisoning, is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to infection causes injury to its own tissues and organs. Symptoms of septicaemia may include high fever, increased heart rate, rapid breathing, confusion, and extreme weakness. It is a medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

Background
Olamide is a one-year-old girl. Her mom brought her to the outreach because she's been feeling tired, weak, and has a rash all over her body with both pimple-like bumps and flat spots. Now, they've been referred to Cottage hospital for free treatment from Helpster.
Medical history
The child was referred from the Helpster outreach program at Makoko, with skin rashes, fever, cough, catarrh. He was diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Tract Infection, Contact Dermatitis, and malaria/sepsis. The child was treated as an outpatient and given appropriate medications which will treat all the symptoms. The mother was happy and grateful to Helpster, as she went home with all the free medications.
Prognosis
The inflammatory response can damage organs, leading to their dysfunction or failure. Septicaemia is a leading cause of death, particularly if not promptly treated. Survivors may experience long-term physical, emotional, and cognitive effects. Broad-spectrum antibiotics are administered through an intravenous (IV) line to target and combat the underlying infection.
