The patient is a 39 weeks 2days pregnant woman, gravida 2, para 1, who presented with breech presentation, a condition in which the fetus is positioned in the uterus with its bottom or feet pointing downward instead of the usual head-down position. Due to this complication, the fetus may develop fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and birth trauma such as brachial plexus injury and head entrapment, requiring immediate medical intervention to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.

Background
Ahsa Moni is a calm, pious, and caring 22-year-old pregnant woman who dreams of raising her children as honest and successful people and enjoys sewing clothes in her free time. She lives with her husband, young son Sajjad, and elderly in-laws in fragile living conditions, while her husband struggles to support the five-member family with a very limited income as a day laborer. During the final stage of her second pregnancy, Ahsa developed lower abdominal pain, weakness, abdominal hardening, and discomfort, causing great fear for the family when her condition did not improve after treatment at the Upazila Health Complex. Doctors at New Evercare Hospital later diagnosed her with breech presentation, a risky condition that requires close monitoring and proper delivery management to protect both mother and baby. Without timely treatment and safe delivery care, serious complications could arise that may become life-threatening for both Ahsa and her unborn child, but the family found hope after learning about Helpster Charity through a health worker.
Medical history
Asha Moni was admitted on 18.04.2026 at 39 weeks and 2 days of pregnancy with a diagnosis of breech presentation. On the same day, she underwent LSCS to ensure the safe delivery of her baby. The operation was successful, and the baby was delivered safely without complications. After surgery, she received proper medical management, including antibiotics, pain relief, intravenous fluids, and close monitoring of her vital signs and recovery progress. Attentive nursing care and supportive treatment helped her recover smoothly. Gradually, her condition improved, and both mother and baby remained stable and healthy. She was discharged on 21.04.2026 in a safe and stable condition, with advice for follow-up care and postnatal checkups.
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for Asha Moni is LSCS under SAB, which is the safest option to deliver the baby immediately and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to recover well and lead a healthy life.
