Maksuda Begum is a caring and devoted mother who dreams of raising her children in good health and giving them a better future despite living in poverty. She lives with her husband, their two school-going children, and her young brother-in-law, while her husband is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 8,000, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of emergency treatment after meeting their daily needs. Doctors found that the water around her baby is dangerously low, the baby is showing signs of distress, and labor is not progressing, making an emergency Caesarean section essential to save both mother and baby. Without immediate treatment, the baby could suffer from lack of oxygen, and both mother and child could face life-threatening complications, including stillbirth or severe bleeding. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman, the family found hope at a time when they had no other way to pay for the lifesaving treatment.

After experiencing, passage of gush of water and leaky membrane for 2 days and less fetal movement for 1 day without progressing labour pain, she arrived at our hospital at 11.00AM in 27th April 2026 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful male baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 11.30AM in 30th April 2026 .The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

With timely Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS), Maksuda Begum has a high chance of a safe delivery, which can protect both her life and the life of her unborn child. The procedure will help prevent complications caused by low amniotic fluid and fetal distress, ensuring the baby is delivered before the condition worsens. With proper post-operative care, both mother and baby are expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the condition is left untreated, the baby may suffer from severe distress, lack of oxygen, or even stillbirth. The mother may also face serious complications, including infection or prolonged labor risks, which can be life-threatening for both.
