Chronic adenotonsillitis is a long-lasting infection and swelling of the tonsils and adenoids that causes repeated sore throats, painful swallowing, and frequent infections. The enlarged tissues inside her nose block normal airflow, making it difficult to breathe, while the recurrent nosebleeds can lead to significant blood loss and weakness if they continue untreated

Background
Jaheda Akter is a determined and hardworking 17-year-old student who loves reading and dreams of becoming a schoolteacher to support her parents and build a better future for her family. She lives with her parents and siblings in a small shelter in Market Camp, where the family's limited income is only enough to provide food and other basic necessities, making it impossible to afford her medical treatment. She has been suffering from severe throat pain, difficulty swallowing, frequent nosebleeds, and blocked breathing, and without timely treatment, these problems can become much worse, causing severe bleeding, serious infections, difficulty breathing, poor nutrition, and in severe cases, life-threatening complications. Jaheda Akter, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. on May 16, 2026, at 01:33 PM to receive critical surgical care funded through the generous support of Helpster Charity. **Jaheda Akter** underwent a highly successful adenotonsillectomy and vascular cauterization on May 17, 2026, at 09:00 PM to permanently clear her blocked airways and halt her chronic nosebleeds. **Jaheda Akter** was safely discharged in completely stable clinical condition on May 18, 2026, following a smooth two-day stay in the hospital. **Jaheda Akter** is currently recovering comfortably at home while adhering to her prescribed regimen of take-home antibiotics, pain management, and therapeutic gargles to promote complete healing. **Jaheda Akter** has successfully reclaimed her health and vital well-being through this life-changing medical intervention, allowing her to confidently return to the classroom and continue pursuing her beautiful dreams.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, adenotonsillectomy with cauterisation of the bleeding blood vessels is the recommended treatment to remove the chronically infected tonsils and adenoids and stop the recurrent nosebleeds. The surgery is expected to relieve her throat pain, improve her breathing and swallowing, prevent repeated infections and nosebleeds, and allow her to return to school and her normal daily activities. However, if left untreated, the chronic infection may continue to worsen, leading to repeated severe infections, persistent bleeding, poor nutrition, and increasing difficulty breathing. In severe cases, uncontrolled bleeding or blockage of the airway may become life-threatening
