Abid Hossen is a fragile 5-day-old baby boy born into a struggling family of six, where his father, Mostakim Islam, works as a day laborer and earns only around 5,000 BDT per month to support the entire household, including Abid’s elderly grandparents and 5-year-old sister. The family’s small income is barely enough for food and daily necessities, leaving them completely unable to afford emergency hospital treatment, medicines, and IV fluids for their newborn baby. Abid suddenly became critically ill with severe diarrhea and vomiting, making his tiny body dangerously weak and dehydrated, while his worried mother watched helplessly as he became too weak to breastfeed. The family came to know about Helpster through Sadika Rahman and reached out for urgent support to save their newborn child. Doctors have warned that without immediate treatment and proper hydration, Abid’s severe dehydration may rapidly lead to shock, organ failure, severe infection, and potentially life-threatening complications.

Abid Islam is a 5-days-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few days, but this time, his condition worsened as he develope acute gastronomy . Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, his health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, he received critical care at City Clinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition.Adnan was admitted on 15/05/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 19/05/26. Now, after receiving the care he needed, Adnan is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. With immediate hospital admission and aggressive intravenous (IV) fluid resuscitation, the newborn's prognosis is highly favorable, allowing him to rehydrate quickly, regain the strength to breastfeed, and make a full recovery without any long-term health complications; however, failing to provide this urgent medical intervention will cause the severe dehydration to rapidly escalate within hours, leading to life-threatening complications such as hypovolemic shock, acute kidney injury, or organ failure.
