Background
Larvin lives with her parents. She would like to be a doctor, specifically a pediatrician when she grows up. She likes cooking and is always sitting next to her mother in their firewood kitchen as her mother prepares meals. For the past few days, Larvin had been complaining of headache, dizziness, general body malaise and hotness of body; and this morning her condition got worse and she was brought to the hospital.
Medical history
In the days leading up to her hospital admission, Larvin had been experiencing symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, overall body discomfort, and fever. As her condition worsened this morning, with the addition of sharp abdominal pain, she was promptly brought to the hospital for assessment. After a thorough examination by the doctor, Larvin was prescribed medication that led to a significant improvement in her condition, eventually resulting in a full recovery.
Prognosis
Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences.
