Mohammad Mustakim is a gentle and hardworking 10-year-old boy who lives with his parents in fragile conditions and dreams of living a healthy and happy life despite poverty. His father, Mohammad Rasel, works as a van driver and earns only around 7,000 BDT per month, making it impossible for the family to afford costly hospital treatment and medicines. When Mustakim developed high fever, severe cough, breathing difficulty, and weakness, his terrified parents became deeply worried as his condition worsened rapidly and affected his ability to eat, sleep, and carry out normal activities. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana, the family sought urgent medical support, where doctors diagnosed him with severe pneumonia. Without urgent treatment and close medical care, his condition may worsen rapidly and lead to severe infection, breathing failure, and life-threatening complications.

Mohammad Mustakim, a 10-year-old boy, was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital on 16-05-2026 with complaints of fever and cough for 4 days and respiratory distress for 1 day. He also had a history of recurrent respiratory tract infections. On admission, he was found to have high fever (101°F), rapid breathing (RR 42/minute), chest crepitations, and low oxygen saturation (SpO₂ 91%). Necessary investigations including CBC and Chest X-ray (P/A view) were performed, and he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. The patient received conservative treatment under close medical supervision. His management included hospital admission, oxygen support, antibiotics, fever management, nebulization/supportive respiratory care, and continuous monitoring of vital signs and oxygen saturation. Due to the severity of the infection and breathing difficulty, immediate treatment was essential to prevent complications such as septicemia and respiratory failure. The patient showed gradual improvement with ongoing treatment and medical care.

According to the doctors, Mohammad Mustakim urgently requires hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and other supportive treatment to control the severe lung infection and improve his breathing. With proper medical care and close observation, his fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and weakness are expected to improve gradually, helping him recover and return to normal daily activities. Timely treatment is very important to prevent the infection from spreading further inside his lungs and body. Without urgent treatment and supportive care, severe pneumonia may rapidly worsen and lead to respiratory failure, severe infection in the bloodstream, and life-threatening complications.
