Mohammad Ridwan is a gentle and hardworking 11-year-old boy who studies in Class 5 at a Madrasa and dreams of continuing his education despite his family’s poverty. His father, Shohidul Islam, works as a day laborer and earns only around 8,000 BDT per month, making it impossible for the family to afford costly hospital treatment and medicines while also caring for Ridwan’s infant sister, Manha Islam. When Ridwan developed severe fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and weakness, his terrified parents watched helplessly as his condition worsened rapidly and affected his ability to study and carry out daily activities. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana, the family sought urgent medical support, where doctors diagnosed him with severe pneumonia. Without urgent treatment and proper medical care, his condition may rapidly worsen and lead to severe infection, respiratory failure, and life-threatening complications.

Mohammad Ridwan, an 11-year-old boy, was admitted with complaints of prolonged cough and cold for 15 days, fever for 7 days, and respiratory distress for 3 days. On admission, he was found to have fever, fast breathing, chest crepitations, and low oxygen saturation (SpO₂ 92%). After clinical evaluation and Chest X-ray (P/A view), he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. During treatment, he received conservative management including oxygen support, antibiotics, nebulization, antipyretics, intravenous fluids, and other supportive medications under close medical observation. His respiratory condition and oxygen saturation were monitored regularly throughout hospitalization. Following proper hospital treatment and supportive care, his condition gradually improved, and the respiratory distress became controlled. He was admitted was on 17/5/26 and discharged on 20/5/26. He was advised to continue medications, maintain follow-up with the physician, and take proper care to prevent recurrence or further complications.

According to the doctors, Mohammad Ridwan urgently requires hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and other supportive treatment to control the severe lung infection and improve his breathing. With proper medical care and close observation, his fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and weakness are expected to improve gradually, helping him recover and return to his studies and normal activities. Timely treatment is very important to prevent the infection from spreading further inside his lungs and body. Without urgent treatment and supportive care, severe pneumonia may rapidly worsen and lead to respiratory failure, severe infection throughout the body, and life-threatening complications.
