Trizah is a 9-year-old bright and hardworking girl living with her mother and five siblings in a rural setting. She is respectful, caring, and responsible, often assisting with household chores and looking after her younger siblings. She enjoys singing, skipping rope, reading, drawing, and playing with friends, and is eager to learn at school. Trizah dreams of becoming a nurse to support her family and help the sick in her community. She lives in a two-room mud house with an unfinished kitchen, uses a pit latrine, and walks about 20 minutes to fetch water from a nearby stream. Her mother is the sole provider, working as a hospital chef earning about KSh 2,000 monthly, making it difficult to meet basic needs. Trizah developed cough, chest pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and headache. Her mother initially attempted home treatment with paracetamol from a nearby chemist, but her condition worsened with increasing weakness and persistent symptoms. With no financial means, she was taken to the hospital, where she was directed to the Helpster desk due to vulnerability and need for assistance. She was enrolled into Helpster Charity, assessed by clinicians, and admitted for treatment and close monitoring due to the severity of her illness.

Trizah, a 9-year-old girl, was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with Dehydration secondary to Gastroenteritis together with Pneumonia. During her 5-day admission, she received intravenous fluids to correct dehydration, antibiotics to treat the pneumonia, and other supportive medications to control diarrhea, fever, and pain. She was closely monitored by healthcare providers to ensure her breathing improved and that she regained strength and appetite. Following treatment, Trizah responded well and gradually recovered, with her symptoms subsiding and her condition stabilizing. She was discharged in good health and is now doing well at home. Her mother expressed sincere appreciation to Helpster Charity Organization and Al IHSAAN for their kindness, medical support, and compassion during Trizah’s illness, as their assistance greatly contributed to her successful recovery.

Trizah presented in a critically ill state with severe gastroenteritis, severe dehydration, and severe pneumonia, explaining her weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, and respiratory distress. She required urgent admission, intravenous fluids, antibiotics, oxygen support, and close monitoring. Her condition was significantly worsened by delayed care due to financial constraints. She is showing gradual response to treatment and stabilization. Recovery is expected, though careful monitoring is essential due to the severity of her combined infections.
