Moriom Akter is a fragile 19-day-old baby girl whose parents are desperately fighting to save her life despite their extreme poverty. Her father, Md. Sukkur Ali, works as a daily laborer earning only around 9,500 BDT per month, which is barely enough to manage food and basic family expenses, making costly hospital treatment impossible for the family. When Moriom developed high fever, severe breathing difficulty, convulsions, and dangerously low oxygen levels, her terrified parents rushed her to Olympus Hospital after learning about Helpster Charity through Narayanganj Poly Clinic. Her mother stays constantly beside her, praying for her recovery while watching her tiny baby struggle to breathe in critical condition. Without urgent intensive care and proper treatment, the severe pneumonia, meningitis, and heart complications may rapidly worsen and become life-threatening for the newborn baby.

Moriom Akter, a 19-day-old newborn baby, was admitted to Olympus Hospital on 18th May in a very critical condition with severe pneumonia, meningitis, respiratory distress, and repeated convulsions. The doctors immediately started emergency treatment, including oxygen support, medications, antibiotics, and close monitoring to stabilize her condition. Due to the severity of her illness and dangerously low oxygen level, the medical team advised ventilation and life support for better survival chances. However, despite counseling and continuous efforts by the doctors, her parents decided to take discharge on risk bond on 19th May and took the baby home while continuing supportive treatment as advised. The family expressed gratitude to Helpster Charity, the volunteers, and the hospital staff for their quick support, care, and sincere efforts during the child’s critical condition.

According to the doctors, Moriom Akter urgently needs PICU support, strong antibiotics, fever and convulsion control, and continuous monitoring to stabilize her critical condition. With proper intensive care and treatment, the severe infections in her lungs and brain may gradually improve, her breathing may become more stable, and the risk of further complications can be reduced. Close medical care is also important to support her heart function and overall recovery. Without urgent treatment and PICU support, her condition may worsen rapidly, leading to severe infection, breathing failure, brain damage, heart complications, and life-threatening consequences for the newborn baby.
