Mariyam Khatun is a hardworking and caring 18-year-old mother who lives with her husband and 3-year-old son in a poor household where her husband struggles to support the family by driving a rented van and earning only around 6,000 BDT per month. Despite their financial hardship, Mariyam spends her days caring for her family, cooking, sewing Kantha, and dreaming of educating her son so he can become a doctor and help poor people in the future. Her severe abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, and weakness have made it difficult for her to manage household work or care for her young child, while the family remains unable to afford the urgent surgery she needs because their small income barely covers food and daily necessities. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Dr. Arif after her condition became serious again and doctors detected an appendicular lump requiring immediate surgery. Doctors have warned that without urgent treatment and surgery, the infection and swelling may worsen further, causing rupture, severe infection inside the abdomen, life-threatening complications, and serious danger to her health and life.

Mariyam Khatun, an 18-year-old girl from a poor family, was admitted to the hospital on 14 May 2026 at 6:00 PM with severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and high fever. Her condition had become critical, and the pain on the right side of her abdomen was unbearable.After necessary examinations and investigations, doctors diagnosed her with an Appendicular Lump, a serious complication of appendicitis. The doctors advised immediate surgery to prevent further complications.Despite her family’s financial difficulties, with the support of Helpster Charity and RUDO Hospital, her treatment and operation were started without delay. Under general anesthesia, her Appendectomy operation was successfully completed without any complications. After surgery, Mariyam remained under close observation and received proper medicines and care. Gradually, her pain and fever improved, and she regained her strength day by day. Finally, after successful treatment and recovery, Mariyam’s condition became stable, and she was discharged from the hospital in good health with necessary advice and prescribed medicines. Today, Mariyam is recovering well and slowly returning to her normal life.

According to the doctors, Mariyam Khatun urgently needs appendicectomy surgery to remove the infected appendix and control the swelling and infection inside her abdomen. With timely surgery and proper medical care, her abdominal pain, fever, vomiting, and weakness are expected to improve gradually, helping her return to a healthy and normal life with her family and young son. Doctors are closely monitoring her condition to prevent the infection from spreading further inside her abdomen. However, if she does not receive surgery on time, the appendicular lump may rupture, causing severe abdominal infection, dangerous complications, organ damage, and potentially life-threatening conditions.
