Shaiba Rani is now 38+ weeks into her pregnancy and is currently facing a high-risk condition due to less fetal movement, reduced fetal heart activities, and oblique presentation of the baby. In this position, the baby lies diagonally inside the womb instead of the normal head-down position, which can create serious complications during delivery. Reduced fetal movement and heart activities may indicate distress to the baby and require urgent medical attention.

Background
Shaiba Rani is a caring and hardworking 32-year-old mother who dreams of having a safe delivery and a healthy baby. She lives with her husband, a day laborer earning only around BDT 5,000 per month, and her elderly mother-in-law, who is unable to work due to old age. Having experienced a miscarriage during her first pregnancy and facing challenges in her previous pregnancies, she is deeply worried about the health of her unborn child. The family's limited income is barely enough to cover food and daily necessities, making the cost of medical treatment impossible for them to afford. Doctors have found that her baby is in an abnormal position inside the womb, and without timely medical care, both mother and baby could face serious complications during delivery, putting their lives at risk.
Medical history
The patient,Shaiba Rani was admitted to City Clinic on 23th May 2026. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy3.0 kg male baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 27th May 2026 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.
Prognosis
The doctor has advised an urgent Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest option for both Shaiba Rani and her baby due to less fetal movement, reduced fetal heart activities, and oblique presentation. Timely surgery can help prevent fetal distress, obstructed labor, and delivery complications, ensuring a safer outcome for both mother and child. Without proper treatment, the condition may become life-threatening for the baby as well as the mother. Early surgical intervention offers the best chance for a safe delivery and healthy recovery.
