Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections

Septicemia, also known as sepsis, is a serious medical condition that occurs when the body has an overwhelming immune response to an infection. It happens when bacteria or other pathogens enter the bloodstream, spreading throughout the body and causing widespread inflammation. This can lead to a cascade of harmful effects, including organ damage and failure.

Background

Peter dropped out of school after he lost his parents and now works as an errands boy in one of the homesteads near the hospital. He had wanted to be a lawyer. He enjoys watching football. For 2 weeks prior to visiting the hospital, Peter had dizziness, fast breathing, was vomiting and had abdominal pain. The Helpster volunteer came across him looking sick and helpless and brought him to the hospital to be attended to.

Medical history

For 2 weeks prior to visiting the hospital, Peter had dizziness, fast breathing, was vomiting and had abdominal pain. The Helpster volunteer came across him looking sick and helpless and brought him to the hospital to be attended to. He was brought to the hospital and immediately put on medication for septicaemia after the doctors confirmed the diagnosis after laboratory tests. He is now doing well

Prognosis

The widespread inflammation and organ damage caused by septicemia can result in dysfunction or failure of multiple organs, such as the lungs, kidneys, liver, and heart, if not treated. Broad-spectrum antibiotics are administered intravenously as soon as possible to fight the infection causing the septicemia.
