Most Mousumi Akter Mim is a bright and determined 19-year-old college student who dreams of becoming a teacher and building a better future with her husband, a small shopkeeper. The family's limited income is barely enough to cover daily expenses, making the cost of emergency surgery impossible for them to afford. When Mousumi developed severe abdominal pain, fever, nausea, and back pain, doctors diagnosed her with acute appendicitis, a condition that requires urgent treatment. Without timely surgery, her appendix could rupture, causing a serious infection throughout her abdomen that could become life-threatening. Despite her suffering, Mousumi remains focused on recovering, continuing her education, and achieving her dream, and through the support of Abdul Alim, Helpster Volunteer Bablu Abdullah, and Helpster Charity, she now has hope for the treatment she urgently needs
Medical history
Most Mousumi Akter Mim was admitted to the hospital on May 20, 2026, with lower right-sided abdominal pain. After medical evaluation, she was diagnosed with Acute appendicitis. On the same day, the attending doctors successfully performed an appendectomy. Following surgery, Mousumi Akter remained in good condition. After six days of postoperative care, she was discharged on May 26, 2026, in good health. At the time of discharge, her husband and mother in law came to the hospital to receive her. The family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, and Md. Abdullah Miah for their dedicated treatment and continuous support. Her husband was especially thankful to Helpster for the financial assistance provided during the treatment.
Prognosis
Doctors recommend an appendectomy to remove the infected appendix and prevent the condition from worsening. The surgery is expected to relieve Mousumi's pain, eliminate the source of infection, and allow her to return to her studies and normal daily activities after recovery. With timely surgery and proper post-operative care, she has an excellent chance of making a full recovery without long-term health problems. If left untreated, the appendix could rupture, causing the infection to spread throughout the abdomen and bloodstream.
