Mophine is the second-born in a family of five children living in a rural community. She is a Grade Four pupil who is known to be humble, hardworking, and respectful. In her free time, she enjoys skipping games, singing, storytelling, and helping her mother with simple household chores. She is passionate about education and dreams of becoming a nurse. Mophine comes from a low-income household living in a two-room mud house without electricity. The family relies on a paraffin lamp for lighting, firewood for cooking, and water from an untreated well. Her mother, who works as a water supplier at a local hotel, is the main provider, while the family's limited income is insufficient to meet their daily needs. She was brought to the health facility with complaints of cough, chest pain, chest congestion, difficulty breathing, and fever. The symptoms had begun five days earlier as a persistent dry cough and gradually worsened. Due to financial constraints, no treatment had been sought at home. The family learned of a medical outreach program at Bulondo Health Centre and sought assistance there. Following assessment, she was noted to be underprivileged and also diagnosed with severe pneumonia and bronchospams which were really affecting her breathing.

Mophine was admitted to the hospital with severe pneumonia after presenting with difficulty in breathing, persistent cough, chest congestion, chest pain, fever, and general body weakness. Upon medical assessment, she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and immediately started on treatment. She received appropriate antibiotics, fever-reducing medication, fluids, and supportive care including close monitoring of her breathing and oxygen levels. Nutritional support and nursing care were also provided throughout her admission to help improve her recovery. As treatment continued, her fever reduced, breathing became easier, cough decreased, and her appetite and strength gradually improved. Through the support of Helpster Charity Organization, Mophine was able to receive free medical treatment and hospital care despite her family’s financial challenges. After showing significant improvement and becoming clinically stable, she was discharged home with medication and follow-up advice. Mophine and her family expressed sincere appreciation to Helpster Charity Organization and the medical team for the compassionate support and lifesaving treatment that helped her recover and regain her health.

Mophine was diagnosed with severe pneumonia complicated by bronchospasm, a condition that significantly affected her breathing and required urgent medical intervention. The lung infection and airway narrowing placed her at risk of respiratory complications if left untreated. She was promptly started on appropriate treatment, including antibiotics, medications to relieve bronchospasm, and supportive care. Prognosis is good. There is already a gradual improvement in her breathing and overall being.
