Most Adori Khatun is an 18-year-old first-time mother who remains hopeful and determined despite living in poverty with her husband, a day laborer whose limited income is barely enough to cover the family's daily necessities. As they struggle to meet basic needs, the cost of emergency medical care and delivery is far beyond their financial means. When Adori developed lower abdominal pain and noticed decreased movement of her unborn baby, an ultrasound revealed that the baby was in a breech position, creating a high-risk pregnancy. Without timely medical treatment and a safe delivery plan, both mother and baby could face life-threatening complications, including prolonged labor, severe bleeding, birth injuries, or even loss of life. After being referred by community health worker Shahana Begum and assessed by Helpster Volunteer Bablu Abdullah, the family found hope through Helpster Charity's support during this critical time.

Most Adori Khatun was admitted to Jamuna Clinic on June 1, 2026, with a diagnosis of breech presentation. On the same day, she successfully underwent a cesarean section and delivered a healthy baby girl. Following delivery, the newborn was found to have some medical complications. As a result, the attending physician referred the baby to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for specialized treatment, where the baby died. Throughout her hospitalization, Most Adori Khatun remained in stable condition and made a good recovery. She was discharged from the clinic on June 6, 2026. Upon discharge, Adori’s husband and mother-in-law came to receive both the mother and the newborn. The family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, and Md. Abdullah Miah for their dedicated medical care, continuous support, and assistance throughout the treatment process. Adori’s husband was especially thankful to Helpster for providing crucial financial support, which helped ensure that both mother and child received the necessary care during this challenging time.

Doctors recommend Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) to safely deliver Adori's baby because of the breech presentation and decreased fetal movement. The procedure is expected to reduce the risk of complications during delivery and provide the safest outcome for both mother and child. With timely surgery and proper post-operative care, Adori is expected to recover well and begin caring for her newborn without major health concerns. If left untreated, the abnormal position of the baby could lead to prolonged or obstructed labor, severe bleeding, birth injury, distress to the baby, or even loss of life for both mother and child. Therefore, prompt surgical intervention is essential to ensure a safe delivery and protect the health of both patients.
