Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pregnancy

Bizli Khatun has been diagnosed with a postdated pregnancy, meaning her pregnancy has continued beyond the expected delivery date. This condition increases the risk of complications such as fetal distress, reduced amniotic fluid, and difficulties during labor. Therefore, she requires close medical supervision and timely treatment to ensure the safe delivery of both mother and baby.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

Roumari, Kurigram

Background

Bizli Khatun is a caring and determined mother who continues to support her family despite severe financial hardship and an uncertain future. Her husband, Anowar Hossen, works as a day laborer with an unstable income of around 7,000 BDT per month, making it impossible to manage daily household expenses, their daughter Amina’s education, and costly pregnancy treatment at the same time. During the final stage of her pregnancy, Bizli developed severe pain, weakness, and complications after the pregnancy continued beyond the expected delivery date, causing deep fear and anxiety for the whole family. After learning about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, the family sought urgent medical support, where doctors advised emergency LUCS for safe delivery. Without proper treatment and timely surgery, both the mother and unborn baby could face severe and life-threatening complications during childbirth.

Medical history

Bizli Khatun was admitted to the hospital on 07/05/2026 due to complications from a postdated pregnancy, which increased the risk of delayed labor and fetal distress. Considering these risks, doctors proceeded with a planned cesarean section (LUCS). The surgery was successfully performed, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. Following the operation, Bizli received proper post-operative care, including medications, antibiotics, and nutritional support. Both mother and baby remained stable and gradually improved during their hospital stay. Within a few days, Bizli was able to move comfortably and take care of her newborn. She was discharged from the hospital on 10/05/2026 in good health. Bizli and her family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the medical team for their compassionate support and timely assistance, which ensured the safe delivery and well-being of both mother and baby.

Prognosis

The doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) to ensure the safe delivery of Bizli Khatun’s baby, as her postdated pregnancy has increased the risk of complications. With timely surgical intervention and proper medical care, there is a strong possibility of a safe delivery, allowing Bizli to recover and care for her newborn and family. This procedure will help reduce the risks of fetal distress, prolonged labor, and other complications associated with delayed delivery. However, without proper treatment, serious complications may develop, which could become life-threatening for both the mother and the baby, making urgent medical intervention necessary.
