Mofida Akter is a caring and devoted mother who continues to support her family with patience despite living in extreme poverty. Her husband, Saidur Rahman, is the only earning member of the family and works in agriculture-based labor with an unstable income of around 7,000 BDT per month, making it impossible to manage household expenses, care for their young son and elderly parents, and afford costly emergency treatment at the same time. During the final stage of her pregnancy, Mofida became physically weak and doctors found that the fluid around her unborn baby was dangerously low, causing deep fear and anxiety for the whole family. After learning about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, the family sought urgent medical support for safe delivery and treatment. Without proper treatment and emergency LUCS, both the mother and unborn baby could face severe and life-threatening complications during childbirth.

Mofida Akter was admitted to the hospital on 09/05/2026 due to complications from moderate oligohydramnios at 38 weeks of pregnancy, which increased the risk of fetal distress and delivery complications. Considering these risks, doctors performed a planned Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS). The surgery was successfully completed, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. After the operation, Mofida received proper post-operative care, including medications, antibiotics, and nutritional support. Both mother and baby remained stable and showed good recovery during the hospital stay. She was discharged on 12/05/2026 in stable condition. Mofida and her family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the medical team for their timely support and care, which ensured a safe delivery and healthy outcome for both mother and child.

The doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) to ensure the safe delivery of Mofida Akter’s baby, as moderate oligohydramnios at 38 weeks of pregnancy increases the risk of complications. With timely surgical intervention and proper medical care, there is a high chance of a safe delivery, allowing Mofida to recover and care for her newborn and family. This planned procedure will help reduce risks such as fetal distress, cord compression, and complications during labor. However, without proper treatment, serious complications may arise, which could become life-threatening for both the mother and the baby, making timely intervention essential.
