Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Sidratul Muntaha is a calm and gentle 19-month-old baby girl who lives with her parents, brother, and three sisters in a small tin-made house under difficult financial conditions. Her father works as a chef and earns only around 5,000 BDT per month. After recovering from a previous illness, Sidratul became seriously sick again when she was soaked in rainwater during heavy rain, leading to severe pneumonia, fever, breathing difficulty, and weakness that required urgent hospitalization. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema, who helped them arrange treatment when they could not afford the medical costs. Without proper medicines, oxygen support, and close monitoring, her severe lung infection could worsen rapidly and become life-threatening for such a young child.
Medical history
Sidratul Muntaha was admitted to Seba Hospital on 22 May 2026 after being diagnosed with severe pneumonia. She received treatment under medical care for several days and was kept under close observation in the hospital due to the seriousness of her condition. During her hospitalization, she was provided with medicines, oxygen support, and supportive care by the doctors and nurses. Her condition gradually improved with treatment, and she was discharged on 27 May 2026 with medical advice for continued recovery at home. At the time of discharge, the patient’s family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity and the Seba Hospital team.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Sidratul Muntaha is expected to recover gradually if she continues receiving proper hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, oxygen support if needed, and other supportive treatment. These treatments will help control the lung infection, improve her breathing, reduce fever and cough, and restore her strength and overall health. Close monitoring is very important because severe pneumonia in young children can worsen quickly and affect oxygen supply to the body. However, if left untreated, her lung infection could become critical, leading to severe breathing problems, worsening infection, and life-threatening complications that may seriously affect her survival and healthy growth.
