Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
12 years old Ibrahim lives with his parents and 23 other siblings in a polygamous household. He is the 20th child of the family. Ibrahim wishes to be a teacher when he grows up so he can teach children to become great. About 3 years ago he sustained an injury at the back of his ears, since then the wound has failed to heal. This is associated with severe pains, headaches, and on account of lack of funds, the medical treatment was not given. Ibrahim occasionally takes pain medications and antibiotics to prevent wound infection.
Medical history
The 13-year-old child presented with Complaints of painful swelling with pus discharge from the right postauricular region down to the neck. It was noticed by the parents 4years ago; due to financial status, they cannot afford to pay for the surgery. It keeps reoccurring, but when they came to the Hospital to seek Helpster assistance, an ultrasonography scan was done, and it revealed a Post-auricular Abscess. The child was admitted for an Incision and Drainage of the abscess and discharged after two days of medical treatment and resolution of the abscess. The child's condition improved and they went home with joy, thanking Helpster for the free treatment.
Prognosis
The wood needs an incission and drainage. After that, antibiotics will be given to Ibrahim to help the wound heal without an infection. If the wound is not treated properly, an infection that prevents it to heal may spread to blood, and cause sepsis.
