About pregnancy
The patient is a 27-year-old pregnant woman at 36+ weeks of gestation with a previous cesarean section who has been diagnosed with mild oligohydramnios, a condition in which the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby is lower than normal. Reduced amniotic fluid can affect the baby's well-being and increase the risk of complications during late pregnancy and delivery, especially in women with a previous C-section.

Background
Pinky Rani is a cheerful, kind-hearted, and devoted 27-year-old mother who dreams of safely welcoming her third child and giving all of her children a healthy and secure future. She lives with her husband, their 10-year-old daughter, 5-year-old son, and her elderly parents-in-law, while her husband, Bikash Chandra, is the family's only earning member, working as a day laborer and earning only BDT 6,000 per month, making the cost of an emergency Caesarean section impossible to afford. Doctors have identified her pregnancy as high-risk due to her previous C-section, lower abdominal pain, and mild oligohydramnios, and have advised an emergency LUCS to protect both mother and baby. After learning about Helpster Charity through Sadika, the family sought financial assistance, hoping to save both lives. Without timely surgery, Pinky and her unborn baby face a high risk of uterine rupture, severe bleeding, fetal distress, stillbirth, and other life-threatening complications that could have devastating consequences for the entire family.
Medical history
The patient,Pinky Rani was admitted to City Clinic on 19th July 2026. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 3 kg male baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 23th July 2026 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment
Prognosis
The doctor has advised an Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) because the patient has a previous cesarean section, is experiencing labour pain, and has mild oligohydramnios. With timely treatment and delivery, the prognosis is good, and both the mother and baby are expected to recover well with a reduced risk of complications. If left untreated, the patient may develop prolonged or obstructed labour, uterine scar complications, fetal distress due to reduced amniotic fluid, infection, or other serious maternal and fetal complications that could threaten the lives of both the mother and the baby.
