Lamiya Jannat is a bright and gentle 7-year-old girl who loves studying at her madrasha and dreams of building a better future through education. She lives with her parents, younger brother, and elderly grandmother in a small tin-shade house, where her father is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 7,000, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of her medical treatment while meeting their daily needs. She has been diagnosed with typhoid fever and a urinary tract infection (UTI), and without timely treatment, the infections could spread to her kidneys and bloodstream, leading to severe dehydration, septic shock, multiple organ failure, and other potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, giving them hope when they had no other way to pay for her treatment. With timely medical care, Lamiya has the opportunity to recover fully, return to her studies, and continue pursuing her dreams.

Lamiya Jannat was admitted to the hospital on 24 April 2026 after suffering from fever, cough, cold, and breathing difficulty for several days, which later worsened with weakness and general discomfort. After a thorough medical examination and necessary tests, doctors diagnosed her with typhoid fever along with a urinary tract infection (UTI). She received proper medical treatment, antibiotics, and close monitoring from the hospital’s medical team. With timely intervention and continuous care, Lamiya’s condition gradually improved over the following days. She responded well to the medications, and her fever reduced while her strength and overall condition started returning to normal. She was discharged from the hospital on 29 April 2026 in stable condition. Lamiya’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Help Star, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their kind support and compassionate care, which played a vital role in her recovery.

With timely administration of appropriate antibiotics and supportive therapy, Lamiya’s typhoid fever and urinary tract infection (UTI) can be effectively controlled, leading to a gradual reduction in fever and overall improvement in her condition. Proper treatment will help restore her strength, improve her appetite, and allow her to return to her normal daily activities, including attending madrasha. With close monitoring and care, the chances of full recovery are very high. However, if left untreated, these infections can worsen, leading to severe dehydration, prolonged illness, and complications affecting the urinary system and overall health. In severe cases, it can become life-threatening and may significantly impact her long-term wellbeing.
