Due to the severity of his condition, he requires timely medical treatment and close monitoring to control the infection and prevent further complications.

Background
Mohammad Ali Hasan is a cheerful and resilient 4-year-old boy whose smile has been overshadowed by a painful neck swelling that has troubled him for the past two years. He lives with his parents and siblings in the overcrowded Geneva Camp, where his father earns only BDT 8,500 per month, barely enough to provide food and shelter, making the cost of surgery impossible to afford. He has been diagnosed with a neck abscess with lymph node infection, and without timely treatment, the infection could spread to nearby tissues or the bloodstream, causing severe complications that could become life-threatening. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp in Geneva Camp, giving them hope when they had nowhere else to turn for help. With timely treatment, Mohammad Ali can recover, return to a healthy childhood, and enjoy a future free from pain.
Medical history
Mohammad Ali Hasan, underwent a successful surgical procedure involving the incision and drainage of his neck abscess, followed by a lymph node biopsy, with support facilitated through Al-Manar Hospital. He was admitted on May 24, 2026, at 02:20 PM and remained in the hospital for post-operative care until his discharge on May 26, 2026, totaling a stay of three days. Since the operation, he has begun a recovery regimen that includes regular wound dressing and a course of prescribed medications to manage pain and infection. The family is currently focused on his follow-up care, including a scheduled visit to remove his stitches, with high hopes that this intervention will resolve his long-standing health issues.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, Mohammad Ali requires incision and drainage of the neck abscess, regular wound dressing, and a lymph node biopsy to determine the exact cause of the infection. If the biopsy confirms tuberculosis (TB), he will need a full course of anti-TB medication. With timely treatment and proper follow-up, the infection is expected to resolve, the wound will heal, and he can return to a healthy and active childhood. However, if left untreated, the infection may continue to spread to nearby tissues or the bloodstream, leading to severe illness, permanent tissue damage, or other life-threatening complications
