Aliyasha Afrin Ariba is a cheerful and innocent one-year-old Bangladeshi girl whose parents dream of seeing her grow up healthy and become a doctor to help vulnerable people. She lives with her loving family in a small makeshift shelter, where her father is the only earning member, working as a day laborer with an irregular income that is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities, making it impossible to afford the cost of her emergency treatment. Doctors diagnosed Ariba with severe community-acquired pneumonia with hypoxemia, a life-threatening condition that has made it difficult for her to breathe and feed properly. Without immediate hospitalization and treatment, she is at risk of respiratory failure, severe infection, oxygen deprivation, permanent organ damage, or even death. After learning about Helpster Charity through volunteer Nishan, her family found hope that their little daughter could receive the lifesaving care she urgently needs and have the chance to enjoy a healthy childhood.

Aliysha Afrin Ariba was admitted to Orion Hospital on 20 April 2026 through Helpster volunteer Nishan with severe pneumonia, malnutrition, high fever, and a ganglion affecting her right wrist. She received oxygen therapy, medications, nutritional support, close monitoring, and successfully underwent ganglion excision surgery. After showing steady improvement, she was discharged in stable condition with medications and follow-up advice. Ariba's family sincerely thanks Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the doctors and staff of Orion Hospital for their generous financial support, compassionate care, and successful treatment that gave their child a new chance at a healthy life.

According to the treating doctor, immediate hospitalization, oxygen therapy, medications, correction of fluids and electrolytes, nutritional support, and close medical monitoring are essential to treat Ariba's severe community-acquired pneumonia and hypoxemia. With timely treatment, her infection can be controlled, oxygen levels restored, breathing will gradually improve, and she is expected to recover and return to normal growth and development. However, if left untreated, the infection may rapidly progress to severe respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, and damage to vital organs due to prolonged lack of oxygen. In infants, untreated severe pneumonia with hypoxemia can become life-threatening within a short period and may even result in death. Early medical intervention offers the best chance of a full recovery and prevents permanent complications.
