Sanjida Akter is a polite and resilient 17-year-old young woman who was eagerly awaiting the birth of her first child despite living in difficult circumstances. She lives with her husband, Sifat Mridha, who earns only 7,000 BDT per month as a garment worker, and her mother, Kazoli Akter, making it impossible for the family to afford emergency hospital treatment and surgery. When Sanjida developed severe abdominal pain at full-term pregnancy, doctors discovered that her baby was in an abnormal position, creating a life-threatening situation for both mother and child. Without urgent surgical intervention, the baby could have suffered severe distress or death, while Sanjida faced the risk of serious complications, excessive bleeding, and even loss of life during delivery. After learning about Helpster Charity through Volunteer Masud Rana, the family found hope for the lifesaving care needed to ensure a safe delivery for both mother and baby.

Sanjida Akter was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital on 21-05-2026 with complaints of severe lower abdominal pain and 39+ weeks of pregnancy with breech presentation. After admission, necessary investigations including USG of pregnancy profile and CBC were performed. Considering the emergency condition and risk to both mother and baby, the doctors provided immediate supportive treatment, close monitoring, and emergency obstetric management. Necessary surgical intervention was advised and performed for safe delivery. She received proper post-operative care, medications, and observation during her hospital stay. After gradual improvement of her condition, she was discharged from the hospital on 25-05-2026.

Doctors recommend Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) to safely deliver Sanjida's baby and prevent complications associated with the breech presentation. The surgery is expected to ensure a safe delivery for both mother and child, reducing the risk of birth-related injuries and other complications. With timely surgical intervention and proper post-operative care, Sanjida is expected to recover well and be able to care for her newborn normally. If left untreated, the abnormal position of the baby could lead to prolonged or obstructed labor, severe bleeding, distress to the baby, and other life-threatening complications for both mother and child. Therefore, urgent LUCS is essential to protect their lives and ensure a healthy outcome.
