Md. Arafat is a gentle and innocent 3-month-old baby whose parents dream of seeing him grow up healthy and strong. His father, Mizanur Rahman, works as a salesman at a broiler chicken shop and earns only BDT 10,000 per month, while his mother is a housewife, making it impossible for the young family to afford the cost of prolonged hospitalization and intensive care after paying their daily living expenses and house rent. Doctors diagnosed Arafat with severe pneumonia with impending heart failure, and warned that without immediate HDU care and proper treatment, he could develop respiratory failure, worsening heart failure, sepsis, and other life-threatening complications that could cost him his life. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Dr. Debosree Saha of Kuwait Maitree Hospital, giving them hope during this critical time. With timely treatment and continued medical care, Arafat has the best chance to recover, return home safely, and enjoy a healthy childhood with his parents.

Md. Arafat was admitted to USB Specialized Hospital on 24 May 2026 in critical condition with severe pneumonia and impending heart failure. He received intensive treatment, including PICU/HDU-level care, oxygen therapy, intravenous antibiotics, medications, hydration, and continuous monitoring, and gradually showed remarkable improvement. After seven days of treatment, he recovered well, was able to breathe normally without respiratory distress, and was discharged in stable condition on 31 May 2026 with medications and follow-up advice. Md. According to the treating doctor, immediate PICU care, oxygen therapy, intravenous antibiotics, medications to support heart function, nebulization, intravenous fluids, and continuous monitoring are essential to save Md. Arafat's life. With timely treatment, the lung infection can be controlled, his breathing will improve, the strain on his heart will decrease, and he is expected to recover gradually and continue normal growth and development. However, if left untreated, severe pneumonia with impending heart failure can rapidly progress to respiratory failure, worsening heart failure, septic shock, multiple organ failure, and death. Early PICU-based intensive care offers the best chance for a full recovery while preventing permanent damage to his lungs and heart.
