Khadiza Akter is a 15-year-old girl who lives with her husband and extended family in a financially struggling household. Her husband works as a carpenter and is the sole provider for his wife, younger siblings, mother, and elderly grandmother, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of urgent surgery. Khadiza is a humble and resilient young woman, but her sudden illness has left her in severe pain, with vomiting and fever that have greatly affected her daily life. The entire family became distressed after learning that she required immediate surgery, as they had no savings to cover the medical expenses. Without timely treatment, her inflamed appendix could rupture, leading to severe infection, peritonitis, sepsis, and other life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Jamilur Reza and sought support to save Khadiza's life.

On 23 May 2026, Khadija Akter came to us after being diagnosed with appendicitis. We immediately arranged for her to be examined by an attending physician. After evaluating her condition, the doctor prescribed several diagnostic tests and determined that she required surgery. All of the necessary tests were completed, and on 24 May 2026, Khadija Akter was admitted to the hospital for the operation. The surgery began at 6:00 PM and was successfully completed within a short period of time without complications. Following the operation, she remained in the post-operative care unit for observation before being transferred to a hospital cabin. Under the proper guidance of the doctors and the regular follow-up care provided by the nursing staff, Khadija Akter gradually recovered. On 26 May 2026, she was discharged from the hospital in good health and safely returned home. Khadija Akter's husband was overwhelmed with joy at her recovery—so much so that words could hardly express his happiness. He and the entire family expressed their heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to Helpster Charity for providing timely support during their difficult time. They also prayed for the continued success and growth of the organization, asking Allah to bless it so that it may continue helping many more people in need. In addition, they extended their sincere thanks to the entire medical team at Modern Hospital for their dedicated care, professionalism, and compassionate support throughout Khadija Akter's treatment and recovery.

According to the treating doctors, Appendicectomy (surgical removal of the appendix) is the definitive treatment for Khadiza Akter’s acute appendicitis. The surgery will remove the infected appendix, relieve her pain and fever, and allow her to return to normal daily activities with a full recovery. If left untreated, the inflamed appendix may rupture, causing severe abdominal infection, peritonitis, abscess formation, and sepsis. These complications can rapidly become life-threatening and may lead to organ failure if emergency treatment is delayed. Therefore, timely surgery is essential to protect her health and save her life.
