When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Severe malaria is a life-threatening, emergency stage of a malaria infection. It occurs when a delayed or untreated parasite attack leads to vital organ failure or severe blood and metabolic abnormalities. It is almost exclusively caused by Plasmodium falciparum and requires immediate hospitalization and intravenous treatment Severe pneumonia is a life-threatening lung infection where the air sacs (alveoli) become severely inflamed and filled with fluid or pus, significantly limiting oxygen intake. Background
Anne is a one-year-old child and the youngest in a family of six children. She lives with her parents and siblings in a two-roomed iron-sheet house without electricity. The family resides within the compound of her father's employer, where he works as a groundsman and caretaker, maintaining the property in the owner's absence. Although the income he earns is modest, the employer has provided the family with accommodation. Anne's father is the sole provider, while her mother remains at home caring for the children. According to her mother, Anne had been unwell for three days before being brought to the hospital. She was experiencing recurrent fever, a runny nose, cough, excessive crying, and reduced activity levels. Despite being aware of Helpster Charity, her mother was unable to seek medical care earlier due to lack of transport fare. As Anne's condition worsened, her parents contacted her father's employer, who kindly sent money to facilitate transport to the health facility. By the time Anne arrived at the hospital, she had developed difficulty breathing and wheezing, making her condition more concerning and requiring urgent medical assessment. The family had learned about Helpster Charity through neighbors in their village whose children had previously received treatment and support through the organization.
Medical history
ANNE WAS MANAGED WITH ANTIPYRETICS, CORTICOSTEROIDS, ANTIBIOTICS, ANTI-MALARIALS AND OTHER DRUGS AS PER THE MEDICAL REPORT. A MANAGEMENT THAT SHE RESPONDED SO WELL TO, AND HER CONDITION IMPROVED. MAKING US DISCHARGE HER ON ORAL MEDICATIONS TO COMPLETE AT HOME.
Prognosis
Anne presented with severe malaria and severe pneumonia, two serious illnesses that are significantly affecting her health and placing her at risk of life-threatening complications. The combination of the severe infection in her lungs and malaria is causing fever, breathing difficulties, weakness, and reduced activity. She is requiring urgent treatment, close monitoring, and supportive care, including antimalarial medication, antibiotics, and management of her respiratory symptoms. Anne is currently responding to treatment and is showing gradual clinical improvement. Prognosis is good
