Fawzia Sidra Omar is a 2-month-and-21-day-old infant who lives with her parents in a small rented room in Korail Slum, Dhaka. Her father, Md. Omar Faruk, is the sole earning member of the family and works as an office peon, earning only around BDT 10,000 per month, which is barely enough to cover rent, food, and other basic needs. When Fawzia became seriously ill with severe diarrhea, vomiting, fever, and dehydration, the family was unable to afford the cost of emergency hospitalization and treatment. As a very young infant, she is highly vulnerable to the effects of dehydration and illness, and without timely medical care, her condition could rapidly worsen and become life-threatening. The family learned about Helpster Charity through the family of Abdullah Sheikh, a previous Helpster beneficiary, who encouraged them to seek support during this difficult time.

Fawzia Sidra Omar was officially admitted to Olympus Hospital (Pvt.) Ltd. on May 31, 2026, at 02:12 PM for critical inpatient interventions. Over a vital 7-day hospital stay, she received rigorous treatment including intravenous cholera saline to correct dehydration, specialized nebulization therapies, and targeted broad-spectrum antibiotics. Thanks to this intensive management protocol, her dangerous fluid loss was controlled, her lungs cleared completely, and her systemic infections were resolved. By the time of her discharge on June 7, 2026, at 01:00 PM, her vital signs had stabilized perfectly, allowing her to return home in excellent condition with essential take-home oral medications and topical care.

According to the treating doctors, Fawzia has a good chance of recovery if she receives timely hospitalization, proper hydration therapy, supportive treatment, and close medical monitoring. The treatment will help replace the fluids and essential nutrients lost through diarrhea and vomiting, improve her feeding, restore her strength, and prevent further complications. As her condition improves, she will be able to continue her normal growth and development during this critical stage of infancy. However, if left untreated, dehydration can worsen rapidly in such a young child, leading to severe weakness, shock, organ failure, and other life-threatening complications.
