An inguinal hernia is a condition in which a portion of the intestine or abdominal tissue protrudes through a weakened or torn area in the lower abdominal wall, typically in the groin area. A person with an inguinal hernia typically experiences a noticeable bulge or lump in the groin area. This bulge can be painful or uncomfortable, especially when lifting, coughing, or straining. Some individuals might also feel aching or burning sensations around the hernia. In certain cases, the hernia can lead to symptoms like groin pain, a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen, and discomfort.

Background
Temitope is a 2-year-old boy, the youngest of five children in his family. His dad works as a driver and his mom as a cleaner, and they all live together in one room. Temitope has a swelling in his right scrotum, and doctors have said he has a right inguinoscrotal hernia.
Medical history
Temitope Quadri Lawal was diagnosed with an Inguinal hernia and admitted upon Helpster's approval for the surgery. The surgery was successfully done with no complications. Child recovered and could resume his activities with jy. his parents were happy and grateful.
Prognosis
If left untreated, inguinal hernias can lead to complications such as bowel obstruction, strangulation (where blood supply to the herniated tissue is cut off), and significant pain or discomfort. Surgery is the most common treatment for inguinal hernias to repair the weakened area and prevent these potential complications.
