Mostafa is a 20-year-old Rohingya youth who loves football and hopes to support his family in the future. He lives with his elderly father and two younger sisters in a refugee camp, where the family depends mainly on food assistance because there is no regular income. Their difficult financial situation makes it impossible to afford the cost of his treatment and surgery. After injuring his right leg twice, Mostafa now suffers from severe pain, swelling, and difficulty walking, which has stopped him from carrying out normal daily activities. Without timely treatment, he could lose normal use of his leg, making it difficult for him to work, support his family, and live independently in the future. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Mohammad Abu Sayeed.

Md. Mustofa, a 20-year-old male, was admitted to Orion Hospital on 13.06.2026 with complaints of severe pain in the right leg associated with increased swelling following a recent re-injury, deformity of the right leg with marked restriction of movement, and inability to bear weight or walk due to severe pain and instability of the affected limb. He was admitted through Helpster volunteer Abu Sayeed. Following clinical examination and necessary investigations, he was diagnosed with a closed displaced fracture of the right tibia and fibula. Considering the severity of the injury, the patient underwent Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) under Spinal Anesthesia (SAB) after anesthetic evaluation and optimization of his condition. Post-operative management included pain control, wound care, limb immobilization, physiotherapy advice, and regular monitoring to ensure an uneventful recovery. The patient remained hospitalized for six days and was discharged on 19.06.2026 in stable condition with appropriate medications, rehabilitation advice, and follow-up instructions. The treatment expenses were fully supported by Helpster Charity, and the family expresses sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and care.

Doctors recommend Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF) to realign Mustafa’s fractured secure them with plates and screws. With this surgery, he has a strong chance of proper healing, pain relief, and restoration of normal arm movement, allowing him to return to daily activities without long-term disability. With proper follow-up care, his strength and function can gradually improve. However, if left untreated, the bones may heal in a wrong position, leading to permanent deformity, chronic pain, and loss of arm function.
