Arnob Biswas has been diagnosed with Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE) with Cystitis. Acute Gastroenteritis is an infection of the stomach and intestines that has caused diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and weakness. He is also suffering from Cystitis, an infection and inflammation of the urinary bladder, which can cause pain, discomfort, and urinary problems.

Background
Arnob Biswas is a 7-year-old boy who lives with his parents, younger brother, grandparents, and uncles in a small tin-roofed house. His father earns only around BDT 5,000 per month as a day laborer, which is barely enough to provide food and basic necessities for the large family, leaving no money for unexpected medical expenses.. His family became deeply worried as his diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, and urinary problems continued to worsen. Without timely treatment, he could become severely dehydrated, develop a more serious infection, and face complications that could threaten his health and well-being. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Tanjila Shahin Ema and sought support for Arnob’s treatment.
Medical history
Arnob Biswas was admitted to Seba Hospital on 01 June 2026 with diarrhea, vomiting, severe stomach pain, and a urinary tract infection. He remained hospitalized for several days and was closely monitored by the doctors and nurses throughout his treatment. During his stay, he received medicines, fluids, and supportive care to help control the infection, relieve his symptoms, and restore his strength. His condition gradually improved with treatment, and he was discharged on 07 June 2026 with advice for continued care at home. At the time of discharge, the patient's family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Volunteer.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctors, hospitalization, hydration therapy, antibiotics, and supportive treatment are essential to treat Arnob’s stomach and urinary infections, replace lost fluids, and help his body recover. With timely treatment, his diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and urinary symptoms are expected to improve, allowing him to return to his normal activities and healthy growth. However, if left untreated, he may develop severe dehydration, worsening infection, persistent weakness, and complications affecting the urinary system and other organs. In severe cases, the infection can spread throughout the body and become life-threatening
