Abir Hossain is a cheerful and hardworking 10-year-old boy who enjoys going to school and dreams of building a better future through education. He lives with his parents and two brothers in a small tin-shade house, where his father is the only earning member, working as an auto-van driver with a monthly income of only BDT 7,000, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of his medical treatment while meeting their daily needs. He has been diagnosed with typhoid fever and a urinary tract infection (UTI), and without timely treatment, the infections could spread throughout his body, leading to severe dehydration, kidney infection, bloodstream infection (sepsis), multiple organ failure, and other potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital, giving them hope when they had no other way to pay for his treatment. With timely medical care, Abir has the opportunity to recover fully, return to school, and continue pursuing his dreams.

Abir Hossain was admitted to the hospital on 10 May 2026 after suffering from fever, cold, and cough for seven days. Following a thorough medical examination and necessary diagnostic tests, doctors diagnosed him with Typhoid fever along with a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). He received appropriate medical treatment, including antibiotics, supportive care, and close monitoring by the hospital’s medical team. With timely treatment and continuous medical care, Abir’s condition gradually improved over the following days. His fever subsided, his symptoms became less severe, and his overall health began to recover. He responded well to the prescribed treatment and gradually regained his strength and appetite. Abir was discharged from the hospital on 15 May 2026 in stable condition. His family expresses their sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their generous support and compassionate care, which played an important role in his successful recovery.

According to the treating doctor, hospitalization, parenteral (intravenous) antibiotic therapy, and supportive care are essential to control Abir's typhoid fever and urinary tract infection. With timely treatment, the infections are expected to resolve, his fever and weakness will improve, and he should make a full recovery and return to his normal daily activities. However, if left untreated, the infections may spread to the kidneys and bloodstream, leading to severe dehydration, septic shock, multiple organ failure, and other potentially life-threatening complications. Early medical treatment and close monitoring provide the best chance for a complete recovery and a healthy future.
