Md. Sharul Al Kiyan is a precious newborn whose birth brought great joy to his parents, Md. Parvej Kamal and Shahnaj Kamal, as well as his sisters, Jannatul Ferdous and Yanoor Akter. His father earns only about BDT 9,000 per month through farming and agricultural labor, which is barely enough to support the family, making the cost of intensive newborn treatment impossible to afford. Just days after birth, Sharul became critically ill with breathing difficulties, jaundice, poor feeding, and a serious blood infection, leaving his family terrified that they might lose him. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Md. Al Amin, who connected them with life-saving support when they had nowhere else to turn. Without urgent treatment for Low Birth Weight, Neonatal Jaundice, Late-Onset Neonatal Sepsis, and Infant of Diabetic Mother complications, Sharul could suffer severe infection, brain damage, organ failure, developmental problems, or even death

Baby Md. Sharul Al Kiyan was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Famous Specialized Hospital & Trauma Center, Chandpur, on 29.05.2026 after developing breathing difficulty, poor feeding, neonatal jaundice, and signs of neonatal sepsis. Under the expert supervision of Dr. Md. Waliur Rahman, MBBS, DCH, FRFH (London), BCS (Health) and the dedicated NICU team, he received intensive treatment including oxygen support, phototherapy, intravenous antibiotics, nutritional support, and continuous monitoring. Over the next six days, his condition steadily improved as the infection was controlled, his jaundice resolved, and he was able to feed normally. His vital signs returned to normal, and he made a full recovery. On 03.06.2026, Sharul was discharged in good health with advice for routine follow-up. His successful recovery was made possible through the timely medical care provided by the hospital and the generous support of Helpster Charity and Helpster Heroes, who gave him the opportunity to begin a healthy life.

According to Dr. Md. Waliur Rahman, MBBS, DCH, FRFH (London), BCS (Health), NICU Consultant at Famous Specialized Hospital & Trauma Center, Sharul required immediate hospitalization and intensive neonatal care to treat neonatal jaundice, sepsis, feeding difficulty, and respiratory distress. The treatment included intravenous antibiotics, phototherapy, oxygen support, nutritional management, and continuous monitoring by the experienced NICU team. The doctor explained that with timely intervention, Sharul had an excellent chance of making a full recovery and living a normal, healthy childhood. However, any delay in treatment could have resulted in overwhelming infection, permanent neurological damage, severe visual impairment, or even loss of life. Thanks to prompt medical care and the generosity of compassionate supporters, Sharul recovered successfully and returned home in good health, giving his family renewed hope for the future.
