Meherin Maisha is a cheerful and innocent 5-year-old girl who loves playing and spending time with her parents and grandparents. She lives in a five-member family where her father, Mamun, is the only earning member, running a small grocery shop with a monthly income of only BDT 7,000, making it impossible to afford the cost of her medical treatment while meeting the family's daily needs. She has been diagnosed with both a urinary tract infection and a respiratory tract infection, and without timely treatment, the infections could spread, leading to severe breathing problems, kidney infection, bloodstream infection (sepsis), and other potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Life Care Hospital, giving them hope when they had no way to pay for her treatment. With timely medical care, Meherin has the opportunity to recover fully, return to her normal childhood, and grow up healthy with her family.

Meherin Maisha was admitted to the hospital on 10 May 2026 after suffering from fever, abdominal pain, cough, and breathing difficulties for five days. Following a thorough medical examination and necessary diagnostic tests, doctors diagnosed her with a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and a Respiratory Tract Infection (RTI). She received appropriate medical treatment, including antibiotics, respiratory support, supportive care, and close monitoring by the hospital’s medical team. With timely treatment and continuous medical care, Meherin’s condition gradually improved over the following days. Her fever subsided, her abdominal pain decreased, and her cough and breathing difficulties significantly improved. She responded well to the prescribed treatment and gradually regained her strength and normal activity. Meherin was discharged from the hospital on 16 May 2026 in stable condition. Her family expresses their sincere gratitude to Helpster, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their generous support and compassionate care, which played an important role in her successful recovery.

With timely administration of appropriate antibiotics, respiratory medications, and supportive treatment, Meherin Maisha’s Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) and Respiratory Tract Infection (RTI) can be effectively controlled, leading to a gradual reduction in fever, relief from abdominal pain, improvement in cough and breathing difficulties, and restoration of her overall health. Proper medical care will help her regain strength, recover from the infections, and prevent further complications. With close monitoring and adherence to the prescribed treatment plan, the chances of a full recovery are very high. However, if left untreated, both infections may worsen and lead to serious health complications. The urinary tract infection could spread to the kidneys and cause severe illness, while the respiratory tract infection could progress and result in increased breathing difficulties, persistent fever, dehydration, and other complications. Therefore, timely treatment, proper follow-up care, and adequate nutritional support are essential for Meherin’s recovery, well-being, and return to her normal daily activities.
