Maliha Akter is a cheerful and innocent 1-year-old baby girl who is deeply loved by her parents, two elder sisters, and grandmother. She lives in a six-member family where her father is the only earning member, working as an agricultural laborer with a monthly income of only BDT 7,000, making it impossible to afford the cost of her medical treatment while meeting the family's daily needs. She has been diagnosed with typhoid fever, and without timely treatment, the infection could spread throughout her body, leading to severe dehydration, intestinal perforation, bloodstream infection (sepsis), multiple organ failure, and other potentially life-threatening complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through the guardian of a previous Helpster beneficiary, giving them hope when they had no other way to pay for her treatment. With timely medical care, Maliha has the opportunity to recover fully, grow up healthy, and enjoy the happy childhood every child deserves.

Maliha Akter was admitted to the hospital on 07 May 2026 after suffering from fever, cough, cold, and breathing difficulties for 20 days. After a thorough medical examination and necessary tests, doctors diagnosed her with Typhoid fever. She received appropriate medical treatment, including antibiotics, supportive care, and close monitoring from the hospital's medical team. With timely treatment and continuous care, Maliha’s condition gradually improved over the following days. Her fever subsided, her breathing difficulties decreased, and her overall health began to recover. She responded well to treatment and regained strength gradually. Maliha was discharged from the hospital on 11 May 2026 in stable condition. Her family expresses their sincere gratitude to Helpster, its donors and volunteers, and the hospital staff for their generous support and compassionate care, which played an important role in her recovery.

With timely administration of appropriate antibiotics and supportive therapy, Maliha’s infection can be effectively controlled, leading to a gradual reduction in fever and improvement in her overall condition. Proper treatment will help restore her strength, improve her appetite, and relieve her cough, cold, and breathing difficulties. With close monitoring and medical care, her chances of a full recovery are very high. However, if left untreated, Typhoid fever can worsen and lead to severe dehydration, prolonged illness, and other serious complications. In a young child like Maliha, delayed treatment may increase the risk of life-threatening health problems, making timely medical intervention essential.
