Arif Hossen is a cheerful and brave 5-year-old boy who dreams of running and playing freely like other children. He lives with his parents and his 12-year-old elder brother in a rented house, where his father, Imam Hossen, earns a modest income by driving a rented auto-rickshaw, making it impossible for the family to afford the cost of specialized surgery while meeting their basic daily needs. Since birth, Arif has suffered from hemangiomas around his right knee, causing severe pain and difficulty walking, leaving his parents deeply worried about his future. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Md. Jamilur Reza, giving them hope for the life-changing treatment their son urgently needs. Without timely surgery, the tumors may continue to grow, causing persistent pain, recurrent bleeding, infection, severe restriction of knee movement, permanent disability, and lifelong impairment of his ability to walk

On 07 June 2026, Arif Hossen's father learned about the free medical treatment program offered by Helpster Charity and immediately brought his son to Modern Hospital for treatment. Upon his arrival, Arif Hossen was promptly examined by an attending physician. After assessing his condition, the doctor recommended several diagnostic tests and diagnosed him with Hemangioma at the right knee joint (two swellings located above and below the right knee joint). The doctor advised Excision of Hemangioma under Spinal Anesthesia (SAB) as the definitive treatment. All the required tests were completed, and he was admitted to the hospital for surgery on the same day, 07 June 2026. The operation began as scheduled and was successfully completed without complications. Following the surgery, Arif Hossen gradually recovered under the careful supervision of the doctors and the regular follow-up care provided by the nursing staff. On 10 June 2026, he was discharged from the hospital in stable condition and safely returned home. Arif Hossen's parents are extremely happy about his recovery. According to the treating doctors, Excision of Hemangioma under Spinal Anesthesia (SAB) will permanently remove Arif Hossen’s hemangioma at the right knee joint (two swellings located above and below the right knee joint), relieving his pain, discomfort, and associated symptoms while improving the function of his knee. With timely surgery, he is expected to make a full recovery and return to his normal daily activities. If left untreated, the hemangioma may gradually increase in size, cause persistent pain, recurrent bleeding, infection, restriction of joint movement, and other serious complications. Therefore, early surgical treatment is essential to protect his health and well-being.
