Background
Helida is nineteen years old and lives in her home with her mother and daughter, creating a close-knit family atmosphere. Her hobbies include farming and singing, activities that bring her joy and satisfaction. She dreams of one day becoming an agriculture teacher. Some time ago, Helida began to notice a skin rash that progressed over time. Initially minor, these rashes developed into more severe itchy patches causing her discomfort. Despite her attempts to relieve her symptoms with various over-the-counter ointments, her condition unfortunately did not improve, indicating the need for continued care and attention to the health of her skin.
Medical history
Helida presented to the health facility with complains of itchy body rashes for 2 months. The patient had scaly whitish rashes on the skin. After a thorough examination, a diagnosis of dermatitis and scabies was made. The patient was given antibiotics and discharged to go home
Prognosis
Scabies is an infestation of the skin by the human itch mite. The microscopic scabies mite burrows into the upper layer of the skin where it lives and lays its eggs. The most common symptoms of scabies are intense itching and a pimple-like skin rash. It is contagious.
