Blessing is a four-year-old girl born to a teenage mother who returned to school through a sponsorship program when Blessing was two years old. She has since been raised by her grandmother in a rural village together with her cousins. The family depends on her grandfather, a shoemaker, whose modest income is often insufficient to meet their basic needs, and they occasionally struggle to afford regular meals and school fees. Blessing attends a local nursery school, enjoys playing with her friends, and loves reciting poems and memory verses. Blessing remained well until the previous evening when she developed fever, cough, vomiting, reduced appetite, fatigue, and decreased playfulness. By the following morning, her condition had worsened, and she became increasingly weak and irritable. Concerned about her deteriorating health, her aunt, who had learned about Helpster Charity through a hospital clinician, rushed her to the health facility. On arrival, Blessing had a high fever of 38.9°C and appeared acutely ill. Following clinical assessment and laboratory investigations, she was diagnosed with severe acute nasopharyngitis with neutrophilia and admitted for treatment, close monitoring, and supportive care.

Blessing spent five days in the ward being treated of pneumonia and severe malaria, she received the prescribed medication and when she showed marked improvement, she was discharged home on oral medication under the care of the grandmother

Blessing presented with severe malaria and severe pneumonia, two serious conditions that significantly increased her risk of respiratory failure, dehydration, and other life-threatening complications. She required immediate hospitalization, antimalarial therapy, antibiotics, supportive treatment, and close monitoring. Following initiation of treatment, her clinical condition showed progressive improvement. Prognosis is good
