Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Bullous impetigo is a highly contagious, superficial skin infection caused primarily by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. It is characterized by large, fluid-filled blisters (bullae) that rupture, leaving behind scaly, raw skin. It is primarily treated with prescription topical or antibiotics. Severe malaria is a life-threatening form of malaria in which the infection causes serious complications such as impaired consciousness, severe anemia, breathing difficulty, repeated vomiting, seizures, kidney injury, or shock. It requires immediate hospital admission, injectable antimalarial medication, supportive care, and close monitoring to prevent permanent disability or death.

Background
Victor is the first-born child of a single mother and lives with his mother at his maternal grandmother's home. His grandmother is the family's sole provider and earns a living by washing soil discarded from local gold mining sites in search of small traces of gold. The work is physically demanding, unpredictable, and hazardous, with long hours spent in water and mud under harsh weather conditions. On many days, she returns home without finding any gold and earns no income at all, making it difficult to provide food, healthcare, and other basic needs. Victor is a quiet child with a bright smile whenever he is happy. Victor's illness began with fever and a widespread skin rash. Believing it would resolve on its own, his mother did not give him any medication. By the following day, the rash had rapidly progressed into painful blisters that spread over his entire body, including his mouth and tongue. He became unable to breastfeed, refused all feeds, cried continuously, was extremely irritable, developed increasing weakness, and became restless with obvious discomfort. Alarmed by his worsening condition, his caregiver rushed him to the hospital, where he appeared acutely ill and required urgent medical evaluation and treatment.

Prognosis
Bullous impetigo is a highly contagious bacterial skin infection caused exclusively by Staphylococcus aureus. With timely antibiotic treatment, the prognosis is excellent and usually results in a full cure within 7 to 10 days. It is localized to the top skin layers and rarely leaves scars. With Treatment: Lesions typically resolve within 10 days. It stops being contagious 24 to 48 hours after starting antibiotics. Without Treatment: The infection it can take 2 to 3 weeks. The risk of spreading the infection or developing complications is much higher. Healing: Skin usually heals completely, though temporary hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or hypopigmentation (light spots) can occur.
