Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Aniruddo Sarker Trinok is a gentle and adorable 7-month-old baby who brings joy to his parents, Susil Sarker and Jarna Rani, and his grandmother, Momota Rani. His father works as a carpenter and earns only 8,000 BDT per month, which is barely enough to support the family, making the cost of hospital treatment impossible for them to afford. When Aniruddo developed a prolonged fever, cough, and severe breathing difficulties, doctors diagnosed him with severe pneumonia, a dangerous lung infection that required urgent hospitalization. Without timely treatment, the infection could have worsened rapidly, leading to severe breathing failure, the spread of infection throughout the body, and other life-threatening complications. After learning about Helpster Charity through Volunteer Masud Rana, the family found hope that Aniruddo could receive the medical care needed to recover and grow up healthy.

Medical history

Aniruddo Sarker Trinok, a 7-month-old infant, was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital on 09 June 2026 with complaints of intermittent fever for 20 days, cough and cold for 20 days, and respiratory distress for 3 days. After clinical assessment and a chest X-ray (P/A view), he was diagnosed with Severe Pneumonia. Considering the severity of his condition, the child was immediately hospitalized and started on conservative treatment, including appropriate medications, close monitoring, oxygen support as required, and other supportive care. His condition gradually improved with treatment, and after satisfactory recovery, he was discharged from the hospital on 12 June 2026 with advice for follow-up and continuation of prescribed medications at home.

Prognosis

Doctors expect Aniruddo's condition to improve significantly with hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive treatment. The treatment will help control the lung infection, improve his breathing, reduce fever and cough, and restore his strength so that he can continue his normal growth and development. With proper medical care and close monitoring, he has a strong chance of making a full recovery. If left untreated, the infection could spread further in his lungs and throughout his body, leading to severe breathing difficulties, respiratory failure, and other life-threatening complications. Therefore, timely treatment is essential to protect his life and ensure a safe recovery.
