Yeasmin Akter is a brave and hopeful 17-year-old young woman who was eagerly waiting to welcome her first child despite the hardships faced by her family. She lives with her husband, Mohammad Rifat, a day labourer earning only 8,000 BDT per month, along with her parents, Umme Hani and Omor Faruque, and the family struggles to meet even their basic needs. When Yeasmin developed abdominal pain and discharge at 37 weeks of pregnancy, doctors discovered that she had very low amniotic fluid and signs that her unborn baby was under stress, creating a dangerous situation for both mother and child. Without urgent medical treatment, the baby could suffer from oxygen deprivation, severe complications during delivery, or even loss of life, while Yeasmin could face serious childbirth-related risks. After learning about Helpster Charity through Volunteer Masud Rana, the family found hope for the support needed to ensure a safe delivery and a healthy future for both mother and baby.

Yeasmin Akter was admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic General Hospital on 13/06/2026 with a 37-week pregnancy, lower abdominal pain, per vaginal discharge, oligohydramnios, and mild fetal distress. After clinical evaluation and ultrasonography, the doctors diagnosed her condition as an obstetric emergency. She received necessary medical care, monitoring, intravenous medications, and supportive treatment. Considering the risk to both mother and baby, an emergency Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) under spinal anesthesia was successfully performed. Following the operation, she was kept under close observation and received postoperative treatment, including pain management, antibiotics, fluid therapy, and routine maternal care. Her condition gradually improved, and she was discharged from the hospital on 16/06/2026 with advice for regular follow-up and postnatal care.

Doctors recommend Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) to safely deliver Yeasmin's baby and reduce the risks associated with oligohydramnios. The surgery is expected to provide the safest outcome for both mother and child by preventing complications that may occur during labor and ensuring timely delivery of the baby. With prompt surgical intervention and proper post-operative care, Yeasmin is expected to recover well and begin caring for her newborn normally. If left untreated, the low amniotic fluid could lead to worsening fetal distress, lack of oxygen to the baby, complications during labor, and even loss of life for the baby or serious health risks for the mother. Therefore, urgent LUCS is essential to protect the lives and well-being of both mother and child.
